MHCSMA Business Meeting

1) Announcement: Deb DiMartino (debbra.dimartino@allina.com), United, St.Paul will serve as Treasure and membership board member. Thank you Deb!

2) Ernesto presented the MHCSMA board members to all in attendance.

3) Next Meeting is April 5th, 2005 – See 2005 Meeting Roster.

4) MHCSMA Board Report:
a. The board met on Jan 14th and Feb 1st
b. Prioritized plans for 2005
c. Financial Reporting discussed (changeover from Marie Martin to Deb DiMartino).
d. Board members will communicate via conference calls 1st Friday of the month every other month starting in March 2005.

5) ASHCSP Report (American Society for Healthcare Central Service Professionals)
a) Ernesto Gonzalez is on the ASHCSP board.
b) 2005 national conference will be held in Albuquerque New Mexico, Sept. 17-20.

6) Discussed MHCSMA 2005 plans:
a) The Instrument Loaner position paper is currently posted on our web site
(http://www.mhcsma.org)
b) MHCSMA website:
* It is our goal to make the website more useful and increase the website traffic.
c. MHCSMA will support the Upper Midwest Conference
d. MHCSMA will support the Mpls Community Technical College and their new Central Service Tech program. Ernesto will scan the program flyer into our web page.

7) MHCSMA will fully fund attendance for one (1) to the national conference in Albuquerque. Selection will be based on the following:
a) Must be a member.
b) Winner of this scholarship must write a paper explaining why they want to attend the conference.
c. The winner must give a report to his or her work group after returning from the conference.
d) The board will select the winning entry.

8) Upper Midwest is scheduled for October 6,7 2005.
